Full-Time Foreign Teachers Needed at Xuzhou Medical College
I. School Information
Xuzhou Medical College, situated in Xuzhou, a historical and cultural city in Jiangsu Province(eastern part of China, with less than three hours by train to Beijing at the north and Shanghai at the south), is an institution of higher education under the direct administration of Jiangsu Provincial Government.
Established in 1958, the college was known as Xuzhou Campus of Nanjing Medical College. In 1960, it was renamed Xuzhou Medical College. Now, it has become the center of medical education, medical service and medical research in the north of Jiangsu Province as well as in the whole Huaihai Economic Zone(comprising the combined parts of Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan and Anhwei), with distinct school characteristics.
The college started its its five-year undergraduate program in 1958 and master’s program in 1985. In 1993, the college began its joint PhD training programs with some of the most famous medical universities and research institutions in the nation. In 2013, the college was authorized by the Degree Committee of the State Council to award doctoral degree.

XZMC offers a full range of courses for 24 undergraduate programs involving 4 discipline categories, it has 2 first-level discipline doctoral programs of Clinical Medicine and Biology, a post doctoral research station, and 5 first-level discipline master’s programs involving Clinical Medicine, preclinical medicine, Biology, Pharmacology, public health and preventive medicine, and 2 professional master’s programs of clinical medicine and pharmacology. At present, the total enrollment of XZMC amounts to 11,000, including students from Taiwan and the overseas.
The college has four campuses, covering an area of over 1200 Mu(equals to 80 hectares). It consists of 20 departments and 14 affiliated hospitals. Presently, there’re more than 5000 employees(directly affiliated hospitals are included), around 800 of them are full time teachers and researchers, 35% with doctoral degree and 86% with master’s degree, and almost 700 of them are professors and associate professors (also research supervisors), and one “Chang Jiang Scholar” Distinguished Visiting Professor.
In recent 5 years, the college has established friendly relationships with almost 20 colleges, universities and institutes from 7 countries and regions involving US, UK, Australia, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong, etc. Various forms of cooperative programs have been effectively carried out, including the faculty and student exchange programs, joint master’s programs and visiting scholar programs.
We seek native English speakers to be our foreign teachers on a long term basis.

IV. Language requirement: Native Speakers (American, Canadian, British, Australian, New Zealander)

VI. Current Status: Working in China now with Residence Permit is preferred, but not necessary.

VIII. Standard Workload: no more than 16 teaching hours per week
IX. Academic Qualification: Bachelor's Degree or above
X. Monthly Salary: 5000-6500RMB (According to qualification and experience)
XI. Accommodation:
Free on-campus apartment with all necessary furniture including, one bedroom, a kitchen and toilet, a computer, a fridge, a washing machine, an air-conditioner, microwave cookware, an electric cooker, shower and closets, free internet access. The foreign teachers would only have to pay for the food.
