Brief introduction to Oriental Pearl College

Oriental Pearl College was established in 1994. It is a new-typed, modern, international boarding school which includes kindergarten, primary school, middle school and international school. The 200,000-M 2 campus has a green area with many shade trees and luxuriant, well-spaced lawns and flowerbeds. It is surrounded by rivers on three sides, and is in a rural setting. While the whole campus keeps harmony between building groups, its units adopt the styles of representative buildings of many countries. This embodies the school ideal of providing students with the world concepts and encouraging the students to embrace nature.

Oriental Pearl College is in the centre of Pearl River Delta where the economy is developing fastest and the most vigorously in China. Dongguan city, in which the school locates, is the focus of overseas investment. The school is quite near Humen Town which is the cradle land of China's modern history and owns a developing national arterial port as well. The transportation by air, by sea or by land is very convenient. It's within one hour's drive from the school to Guangzhou or Shenzhen. It's only one and a half hours by ship from Kowloon Hong Kong to Humen. And it takes one hour by car to travel from the school to Luohu Port of Shenzhen city.

Nowadays there are over 2,000 students from more than 10 different countries studying on campus. They are from China, Korea, USA, Japan, Indonesia and other countries. Oriental Pearl College respects the differences of culture and religion of foreign students. Special celebrations will be held for students' birthdays or western traditional festivals, such as Christmas Day, Hollywood etc.
