Applicants must
a) graduate from high school or pass the Abitur.
b) pass Level 4 to level 5 of HSK (the Chinese Proficiency Test) according to different major’s language requirements.
c) take a Chinese language course and get the above level of HSK for those who haven’t reach Level 4.
d) accept an interview held by the university through telephone, MSN or other applicable ways.
e) be physical fit and healthy.

Brief introduction to the courses we provide
Non-Degree Education
a) Practical Chinese: (from 2 months’ diploma to 2 years’ certificate)
Practical Chinese is purposely designed for foreign students who have not or very limited Chinese language levels but with considerable level of English. It sets to improve the students’ ability of communication and oriented education for HSK; the courses are set as follows (optional according to the length of study).
1. Chinese Introduction Course: Chinese Speaking Introduction, Chinese Listening Introduction, Chinese Reading and Writing Introduction.
2. Elementary Chinese Course: Chinese Pronunciation, Elementary Chinese Speaking, Elementary Chinese Listening, Elementary Chinese Reading and Writing.
3. Intermediate Chinese Course: Intermediate Chinese Listening and Speaking, Intermediate Chinese Reading, Intermediate Chinese Writing, Intermediate Chinese Intensive Reading.
4. Advanced Chinese Course: Advanced Chinese Listening and Speaking, Oral Chinese, Chinese Selected Reading in Newspapers and Periodicals, Advanced Chinese Writing, Advanced Chinese Intensive Reading.
5. Electives: Oriented Education Training of HSK, Comparative Studies between Chinese Culture and Western Culture, Oral Chinese in Foreign Trade, Chinese Writing in Foreign Trade, Chinese in Computer Application, Selected Readings of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature, Modern Chinese Grammar, Chinese Character Study, Chinese Lexicology, Ancient Chinese Study, Chinese Ancient Poems Study, Chinese History and Geography, Chinese KungFu, Chinese Qigong for Body-building, Chinese Calligraphy, Singing Chinese Songs, etc.
6. Lecture: Chinese Culture, Chinese History, Chinese Economy, Chinese Painting, Chinese Folk Music, Chinese Cooking Skills, etc.
b) Diplomas of Different Majors (other than Chinese): (from 6 months to 1.5 years)
Applicants are allowed to sit in to study in all the college programs that we have provided and we can also design courses according to the needs of the learners. For those courses, the learners would need to have sufficient Chinese proficiency to enable the sit-in study (Science students with level 4 of HSK while liberal arts students with level 5 of HSK).
c) Two years’ certificate
Applicants are allowed to sit in to study in all the college programs that we have provided. For those courses, the learners would need to have sufficient Chinese proficiency to enable the sit-in study (Science students with level 4 of HSK while liberal arts students with level 5 of HSK).
d) Short-Term Classes
These kinds of classes are in response to the requirements of students or consignors including Chinese Culture Classes, Chinese Language classes with indoor and outdoor activities. Summer campus is also part of such short term classes. A sizable number of about 8 or above students is required and the length can be one week to one month.
