International students at TUFE are mainly from USA, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Hungary, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Vietnam, Thailand, The Republic of Guinea-Bissau, The Republic of Cameroun, The Republic of Congo, The Gabonese Republic, Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, Federal Republic of Nigeria etc.

Basic Chinese Language, Oral Chinese, Chinese Listening, Chinese for Tourism, Learning Chinese Language by Cartoon Video

It’s designed for elementary Chinese Language learner. Students learn Chinese Pinyin firstly. Pronunciation and oral practice will be emphasized. By doing so, students could have basic ability to communicate.

Preliminary

Students have basic knowledge of Pinyin and Chinese character. Students will improve oral Chinese and listening ability by practice. Students could pass HSK Band 4 Exam after one semester.

Medium Chinese Language, Medium Oral Chinese, Medium Chinese Listening, reading from journals, medium Chinese writing, HSK training  (Preliminary/Medium/Advanced)

HSK Band 3 is a precondition. Students will improve Chinese  Language proficiency by practice. Students could pass HSK Band 6 after learning.

Degree

Description

Bachelor
（Trade and Commerce）

1. It’s designed for Elementary Chinese language learner. HSK Band 3 required when you start the sophomore year.
2. At least 6 months Chinese language learning experience required.
3. International undergraduates will study with Chinese students together from the third year. Students will get graduation certificate and Bachelor degree certificate.
4. With HSK Certificate (Band 5), students can apply for other majors after learning Trade and Commerce more than 6 months.

Transferred Students

Applicants should have HSK Certificate Band 5 or above

Master

Applicants should have Bachelor degree, HSK Certificate Band 6

Doctor

Applicants should have Master Degree HSK Certificate  Band 6

Notes:

  1. Deadline for Visiting Scholars’ application is Feb.24, 2012.
  2. Deadline for Transferred Students’ application is Feb.24, 2012.
  3. Applicants should be 18 years old or above.
  4. The applicants who will have classes with Chinese students should have the HSK Certificate Band 5 or above
  5. The applicants who will have classes with sophomores majored in Trade and Commerce should have the HSK Certificate Band 3 or above
  6. Deadline for the application of Postgraduate programs is May 30 every year.

HSK Scholarship

With HSK Certificate Band 6 or above, the undergraduates (including Transferred students) could apply for HSK Scholarship within 10 days from the beginning of the spring semester, 2012. The HSK Scholarship is RMB 800 per person. The HSK Certificate is valid for two years.
