XYU is a public university in central China. The University occupies an area of about 133 hectares, equipped with complete facilities for teaching and research in its beautiful and comfortable campus.

XYU has 16 departments, offering more than 50 majors for undergraduates and professional students and 4 majors for international students. Nearly 1, 8000 national students from 30 provinces of China and more than 100 international students from 9 countries in the world are enrolled at XYU. To date, it has developed a multidisciplinary system of programs, featured in new energy field, dominated by engineering programs and based on liberal arts programs.

The faculty now totals over 710 dedicated and well-educated members, among them 76 professors and 200 associate professors.
