上海电力学院创建于1951年，是一所以工为主，工、管、文、理、经等各门类有机结合协调发展的多科性国立大学。学校现有教职工1000余人，其中正副教授200余人，另聘请数十名国内外知名专家学者为名誉、客座或兼职教授。学校设有6个学院和两个直属系、35个基础和专业实验室、12个研究室，图书馆藏书近85万册，电子图书百万余册。目前有全日制在校生1万人左右。
近年来，上海电力学院加强了国际间的交流与合作，已经与英国、法国、美国、加拿大、俄罗斯、日本、韩国、澳大利亚等国的高校建立了友好合作关系。我校不仅与英国及俄罗斯等高校联合培养国内学生，还接受法国、俄罗斯等国的留学生到我校学习或实习。

１.长期汉语进修班：
长期汉语进修班
※ 招收对象
有志于学习汉语的外籍人士及海外华侨
※ 课程设置及学制
课程设置：初级汉语、中级汉语、高级汉语、汉语听力、汉语会话、报刊阅读、写作、新闻听力、HSK综合训练课、当代中国热门话题。
学制：每年9月开班，学制1年。
报名时间：每年7月底之前。
※ 费用：报 名 费：400元 学费：16,000人民币/学年
２.短期汉语进修班：
※ 招收对象
有志于学习汉语及了解中国文化的外籍人士及海外华侨
※ 课程设置及学制
课程设置：短期汉语、中国文化进修班开设基础汉语、汉语阅读、汉语听力、汉语会话等课程，并有各种类型的中国文化课程：如：书法、中国画、学烧中国菜、武术、太极、中国园林等。课程可根据报名者需求进行调整。
学制：3个月。每年3月、9月开班。

请于当年 5月30日 之前（9月份秋季班）或 11月30日 之前（3月份春季班），将报名表寄往国际交流学院留学生办公室，国际交流学院将在收到材料后15天内给予回复。报名表可直接向国际交流学院索取，也可从国际交流学院网站下载。

本科生
1．申请条件：
㈠年龄18—40岁，身体健康，遵纪守法，无不良行为记录；
㈡有高中毕业证书；
㈢HSK证书；
入读理、工类专业，HSK考试水平应达到3级，入读经管类专业，HSK考试成绩应达到4级，入读文科类专业HSK考试成绩应达到6级。HSK考试成绩未达到要求者，可先申请我校汉语补习，经国家HSK考试成绩达到要求后，进入院系开始专业学习。
2．时间：
申请时间：每年3月1日至6月10日。
入学时间：每年9月10日左右。
3．申请所需材料:
1）《上海电力学院外国留学生入学申请表》；
2）高中毕业证书复印件；
3）HSK证书复印件；
4）两封推荐信（高中任课教师）；
5）护照复印件；
6）体检证明；
7）报名费400元人民币（现金或支票）；
8) 两张护照尺寸照片。
*申请材料须为中文或英文书写。
*请于 6月10日 之前将申请材料寄往国际交流学院办公室，学院将在收到材料后15日内给予回复。
4．申请步骤：
第一步：向上海电力学院国际交流学院留学生办公室索取《上海电力学院留学生入学申请表》，也可直接从国际交流学院网站上下载申请表格。网址：http://gjjlxy.web.shiep.edu.cn/
第二步：在报名截止日期前，将填写完整的申请表和其他申请材料通过邮寄或传真的方式寄至上海电力学院国际交流学院。地址及传真见封底。
第三步：申请人被录取后将会收到《录取通知书》和《新生手册》。5．学费：20,000元人民币/学年
留学生公寓位于上海电力学院南汇校区。校区内有食堂、超市、银行、邮局、医院、公共体育中心、文化中心等，生活便利，环境幽静。留学生宿舍采用公寓化管理，有专人24小时服务和管理，设备齐全、干净整洁、居住方便。公寓内有公共卫生间和淋浴室、空调、冰箱、电话、电视房、厨房、网络接口等设施。
收费标准：双人间，140 - 200元/人/周
上海电力学院是上海市政府奖学金单位，为留学生提供上海市政府B类奖学金和C类奖学金。B类奖学金面向硕士研究生和本科生，获得者可得到相应学年内的学费资助，另可免交注册费、基本教材费。C类奖学金针对在校长期留学生，获得者可得到学年、或学期一次性的奖学金资助。2008年将设立B类奖学金10名，C类奖学金20名。
另外，对于在读自费留学生，学校设有多种类型的奖学金，奖励表现优秀的自费留学生。
1. 膳食和交通
校区内设有学生食堂，每天膳食花费约为20元人民币。
南汇校区位于上海市浦东汇南镇，学校有班车直达浦东张江地铁站，在张江地铁站搭乘地铁可直达上海市市中心。

It’s amazing to have the opportunity to study in this great nation, especially at this marvelous institution SUEP.
I can not ignore the warm welcome and friendly people who are always around me. I must say they are terrific, ever smiling and willing to share. Moreover, the learning environment is indeed conducive for education and development. To me as an international student, it promotes academic excellence at par with excepted high international students. Consequently, cultural and academic exchange for mutual benefit between different countries—tome, it’s a great honor.
“Be not afraid of the heaven above, be not afraid of the earth, but be afraid when a foreigner tries to speak Chinese.” This has been my case at SUEP. It’s difficult to learn a new language especially Chinese. However, I am glad to say, at SUEP a difficulty has been made a challenge, a challenge to goal; a goal that can be achieved. As a lonely horse, one can not achieve goals to the full measure.

My name is Elyster and my Chinese name is Ai Meili. I come from Zimbabwe, Africa. I have been studying at Shanghai University of Electric Power for 7 months only, but this place feels like home already. The staff and the students of this university are very welcoming and friendly.
The university's motto is “Love your country, study hard, be truthful and excel in your studies.”
SUEP students are hard working and very persistent in everything they do, they always strive for excellence and success. Not only are they persistent academically, but also in sports and other school activities.
This has been greatly motivated me, SUEP students have taught me to be confident and persistent until I get to my victory. Because of this, I have realized that all things are attainable. Learning at Shanghai University of Electric Power has given me a platform to excel, not only academically but also socially.

Coming to China was a great opportunity; learning at Shanghai University of Electric Power is even a greater chance and being accepted into its society was the greater joy. China is beautiful and so is SUEP. Upon arrival I loved SUEP but now I feel loved. In the past 7 months, I have learned a lot, I have discovered that everything is truly beautiful in its own way. SUEP is a beautiful place and has a rare gem, the University of Everything.
When you look around you see a small river, trees, rockeries but beyond that lies a loving society, professional teachings, an excellent education system. I have been challenged in more than one way. The students are diligent, zealous, well-behaved, courteous friendly and accommodating. Apart from learning Chinese, I am also learning how to love and appreciate nature. Truly SUEP has a lot to offer apart from education.
In the stillness and quietness of the environment that SUEP offers I have learnt a lot. I look forward to a great stay.
