Zhongshan University is located in the southern city of Guangzhou. It is a comprehensive university known for its arts and science programs.It was founded in 1924 by the leader of the Chinese Democratic Revolution, Sun Zhongshan.

Zhongshan University has 19 colleges and 79 undergraduate subjects. The lab and research base is equipped with high tech and modern facilities. More than 41,000 students are studying at Zhongshan University including17,000 undergraduates, 5440 postgraduates, 1970 PHD students and 450 international students.

Lingnan College at Zhongshan University is renowned as one of the most beautiful colleges in China because of its splendid scenery and state-of-the-art facilities. The library in the university has among the largest book reservation in southeastern China.
