Beijing University of Chemical Technology (hereinafter BUCT) is a state key university, directly under the Ministry of Education of China. BUCT, as one of key universities under the National Project "211"of China, has possessed solid sciences foundation with outstanding strengths of engineering. Now BUCT has been a characteristic multi-disciplinary key university which combines arts, the science of law, management and economics disciplines together.

    There are three campuses of BUCT. East Campus locates on the East Road of North 3rd ring of China with convenient transportation; West Campus is on the west side of Beijing ZiZhuyuan Park with fine scenes; North Campus is in the Changpin District of Beijing, near famous Ming Tombs Scenic Spot.

    There are more than 10 colleges instituted in BUCT, including College of Chemical Engineering, College of Materials Science and Engineering, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, College of Information Science and Technology, College of Science, College of Humanities and Law, College of Vocational Technical and College of Further Education; 5 postdoctoral research institutions, including Chemical Engineering and Technology, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Power and Engineering Thermophysics, Control Sciences and Engineering; 24 Doctoral specialties, 50 Master's programs and 42 Bachelor programs are also instituted.

    We have abundant high-quality teachers, vice professors and professors amounting to more than 600, among who there are 9 academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering. Currently, there are 26,300 college students studying in BUCT, including doctoral and graduate students to 4,000; undergraduate students up to 12,000; higher vocational students up to 1,100 and 8,000 students studying in the Further Education College. Besides, more than 200 oversea students are studying in BUCT.

    In order to culture high-quality talents with international prospective and push the science and technology development, BUCT stresses on developing international academy and culture exchanges all over the world and positively carries out Chinese and foreign cooperation. We have established academic cooperative relations with more than 40 universities from Britain, America, German, Australia, Korea, and Japan. BUCT can meet study demands of multi-level oversea students, including language students, undergraduate students, master students and doctoral students.
