The Chongqing Three Gorges University has founded The Outstanding International Student Scholarship (OIS Scholarship) to support the study of associate and undergraduate international students. The Details of application are as follows.

Application Requirements
- Applicants must abide by the Chinese law and the regulations of the CTGU, be friendly and communicative, love the University and respect the teachers and the follow students, study with good results and are active in the activities organized by the University.
- Applicants should be Foreigners or overseas Chinese under (at) 27 and in good health.
- Applicants should have possessed a high school or associate diploma with good result.
- Applicants of the Special Grade, when he/she is going to be a freshman, must have got an HSK certificate of level 6 or above and be the first one who signs up for the study of CTGU; when he/she finish the first year studying, he/she must have gained the best result among the international students in the same grade in the last year while the score of every course is above 90.
- Applicants of the First Grade, when he/she is going to be a freshman, must have got an HSK certificate of level 6 or above, or having passed a Chinese language exam organized by the CTGU and get an A; when he/she finish the first year studying, his/her score of every course must be above 90.
- Applicants of the Second Grade, when he/she is going to be a freshman, must have got an HSK certificate of level 6 or above, or having passed a Chinese language exam organized by the CTGU and get a B or above; when he/she finish the first year studying, his/her score of every course must be between 80 to 90.
- Applicants of the Third Grade, when he/she is going to be a freshman, must have got an HSK-6 certificate, or having passed a Chinese language exam organized by the CTGU and get a C or above; when he/she finish the first year studying, his/her score of every course must be between 70 to 79.
or have got the certificate after having studied Chinese language for one or two years in the CTGU; or the ones have no HSK-6 certificate can apply for the scholarship after passing a Chinese language exam organized by the CTGU.
Time for Application
The applicants who intend to study in the CTGU can apply for it during the time from the beginning of January to mid-April every year, while the applicants who are studying in CTGU can apply for it during the time from the end of August to mid-October every year.
Application Documentation
The applicants who intend to study in the CTGU should send
- Two copies of Application Form for President International Student Scholarship of the CTGU filled in Chinese or English in duplicate.
- A copy of HSK-6 certificate or the copy of the report of the Chinese language exam organized by the CTGU.
- A copy of the notarized highest certificate of diploma and the notarized school report (If it is neither in Chinese nor English, please enclose it with Chinese or English translation.);
- The Physical Examination Record for Foreigners and the notarized record of physical examination.
The applicants who are studying in CTGU should provide
- A copy of school report from the school (department) of CTGU where the applicants belong.
Application Procedure
- The applicants who intend to study in the CTGU send their application documentation to the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges (DICE) of the CTGU directly;
- The applicants who are studying in the CTGU should be recommended by their schools (departments) according to their study results and behaviors, and fill the Recommendation Form of International Student¡¯s Scholarship and hand it to the DICE.
- The PIS Scholarship Committee of CTGU examine the documentation and ratify the application.
Informing
After getting the Committee¡¯s ratification, the DICE gives the Ratification of PIS Scholarship of the CTGU to the winner and the one who is abroad will receive it by mail together with the Admission Notice.
Granting
The scholarship will be granted publicly after registration while the CTGU inform the concerned exchange universities or the concerned Embassies in China about it.
