Before the 2013 Spring Festival, Guo Jun, Secretary of Party Committee of the Guangzhou Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and Chen Guanghao, Vice Director of the Guangzhou Branch of CAS, paid a visit to Academician Xu Ningsheng, President of Sun Yat-sen University; Academician Zeng Yixin, Director of Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center; Academician Chen Xiaoming, Academician Su Qiang and Academician Ji Liangnian from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University.

The leaders from the Guangzhou Branch of CAS introduced the reform and development of CAS and the ��1 positioning, 3 major breakthroughs, 5 key cultivation orientations�� plan, and expressed greetings to the academicians on behalf of the Bureau of CAS Membership, wishing them good health and greater achievements in the new year. The Academicians thanked the leaders of the Bureau of CAS Membership and the Guangzhou Branch of CAS for their greetings.

SYSU Vice President Wei Minghai, persons in charge of the Human Resources Department of the Guangzhou Branch of CAS, the Human Resources Department and relevant departments of SYSU were also present at the visit.
