Students wearing 100 masks depicting Peking Opera join forces to publicize the traditional Chinese culture in Liaocheng University, East China's Shandong province, Dec 15, 2011. To better develop the art, the Ministry of Education has launched a pilot project to add Peking Opera to music classes of primary and middle schools in 10 provinces, cities and autonomous regions. Peking Opera classes have begun to disappear in some parts of China. They were stopped in Nanchang, capital of East China's Jiangxi province, due to lack of funds, professional teachers, and student's interests, according to local media.
