The Chinese Greek Philosophy Congress was held in Athens on June 13th. Experts and scholars from China, Greece, and other places gathered for the two-day conference to hold lectures and discussions on the impact of Confucius and Aristotle on the present-day world. On June 13th evening, philosophers across the world gathered at the Roman Market Heritage Park near the Acropolis to have a dialog on time and space with ancient sages. Greek President Karolos Papoulias had come specifically to discuss about Confucius, Plato and other sages of philosophy, as well as remedies for today's difficulties with the experts and scholars. Xu Jialu said: "In my opinion, this meeting is between the East and West divided by vast distances and across 2000 years of time. Scholars of Chinese and Western civilizations should go to great sages together to consult them and to ask how can mankind find a way out of today's difficulties for future peace and happiness." Professor Thomas Donaldson from the University of Pennsylvania briefed the participants saying that the mankind can derive inspiration on contemporary corporate governance from the philosophy of Plato and Aristotle.
