October 19, a bright and blossoming day, Chinese Director, He Yi as well as Chinese teachers Wang Jinzhong, Niu Xiquan, and Guo Guangwei came to SOS Children Village, the biggest International Chain School in Zambia, launched Chinese language teaching and cultural activities. Accompanied by Mr. Lubeka, Director in Senior High School, Confucius Institute teachers visited SOS Village, which is a large and beautiful school nestled among trees and flowers. There are four departments, Nursery school, Primary, Secondary and Vocational Education Section. Besides, its orphanage is the home of 15 orphans and a child-care worker, which is financially supported by Zambian government, social groups and some kind individuals. SOS Children Village is the biggest International Chain School in Zambia, it has 142 schools around the world. The cultural activities were mainly conducted in High School, about 100 students and teachers attended the event. At 15 hour, the cultural exchange started formally. He Yi, firstly introduced the Confucius Institute project worldwide and its development especially in Africa. After presenting the cultural and teaching exchange of the Confucius Institute at University of Zambia since its founding, Wang Jinzhong made an excellent performance of Chinese Kongfu, Taiqi, Chang Quan and Wubu Quan etc. His wonderful performances won warm applause and exciting cheers, appealing to some students imitating unconsciously. "What is that", a student attracted by Chinese national flag in Guo Guangwei's hands, ask. Afterwards, he briefly made a ten-minute-presentation about some conversational expressions in a vivid and inspiring way. Students learned some Chinese greetings and culture in pleasant games.
