In Shenyang, Liaoning province, the region's ever first sperm bank has just opened. The bank has a total of 4,700 samples, 95% from college students, volunteers.

Each donor is required to give his personal information such as skin color, height, the shape of their face, blood type and even whether they are left-handed or not. The volunteers' personal data remains strictly confidential. All of them must sign a document giving up the right to know anything about where their semen ends up. Tests began back in 2009 with all sperms preserved at -196 centigrade for between 10 to 20 years.
