At the beginning of the 2011 fall semester, three AFS international exchange students come to Shijiazhuang No. 25 High School from Italy and Thailand. They will study here and stay with their host families arranged by the school for a year. This is the fifth international student group studying in Shijiazhuang No. 25 High School. So far we have already had up to thirty overseas students from ten countries on the school campus. The school leaders attached great importance to the development of the international cultural exchange programme. Full-time teachers and administrators are responsible for mandarin, Chinese culture lessons and daily routines.

The overseas students are pulling in the colorful school life quickly. They are diligent in studying mandarin and Chinese culture, actively take the initiative to talk with their Chinese peers, which leads to great progress in their oral communication.

This semester our school offers more opportunities for the overseas students to be involved in their Chinese peers'school life. Every week the overseas students are to visit International Class or junior high classes. They make wonderful presentations about their native cultures, which interest their Chinese peers and arouse lots of Qs & As. Besides they take an active part in school activities such as dynamic dance with their host sisters & brothers while the Japanese students come to visit and at the Teachers'Day Party. They also join in the club activities and are getting prepared for the sports meet. Meanwhile all of them are getting well with their host families and they toured the Baodu Village together with their host parents in a light rain last week.

The arrival of the overseas students adds brightness to the school'international education and strengthens the foreign language communication atmosphere.

We wish the overseas students a happy exchange year in Shijiazhuang No. 25 High School!
