MACAO-- A total of 387,036 tourist arrivals were recorded in Macao during this year's Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, lasting from September 10 to 13, according to the figures released on Wednesday by Macao's Immigration Authorities. 

The figures showed that the number of tourist arrivals for this year's Mid-Autumn Festival holidays increased by 29.68 percent over the same period of last year. 

During the period, some 1.41 million visitors crossed Macao's seven immigration checkpoints, with the total visitor arrival standing at 701,297 while departure reaching 714,591, according to the Immigration Department of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR). 

Macao's Border-gate checkpoint, which links the SAR with the Chinese mainland, logged the largest number of border movements, with arrivals and departures standing at 526,461 and 542,771 respectively, according to the Department.
