BEIJING, June 27 (Xinhuanet)--China and Vietnam have agreed to address their dispute over the South China Sea through negotiations and peaceful, friendly consultation.

The agreement comes after Chinese State Councilor, Dai Bingguo, met Vietnamese Vice Foreign Minister, Ho Xuan Son, in Beijing on Saturday. The two sides also stressed they will make joint efforts so as to avoid actions detrimental to bilateral friendship and mutual trust.
