SHANGHAI, Malaysia: Malaysia will have links with more Chinese universities to provide opportunities for Malaysians to study medicine, Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong said. He said there were already eight Chinese medical institutions certified by the Malaysian Medical Council for their graduates to sit for the medical qualifying examinations. 'Many medical students in Malaysia are hoping to study in China, especially at Fudan University as it is one of the top institutions in the country.
Dr Wee met with Fudan University standing commissioner Zhang Yihua and Malaysian students studying at the university. He is with MCA Youth members on a five-day tour of the World Expo. Many students have received study loans from the university for their degree and doctorate programmes.
