Established in 2007, Chinese House is a professional training institute teaching Chinese Mandarin to students from all around the world. It has , so far, provided training courses for more than 400 foreigners living in Ningbo from over 20 countries, such as: Japan, Korea, France, the United States, Italy, Turkey, Germany and Russia. Apart from Mandarin courses of eight types with eleven levels, the school also offers eight kinds of cultural courses including Chinese calligraphy, Taichi and cooking all year round. The teachers are spoken highly of by foreign students due to their rich teaching experience and effective teaching methods. Currently, several corporates including Mitsubishi from Japan, LG from Korea and…from Turkey have signed corporate training contracts with the school. Children from different countries join “Mandarin Camp” hosted by Chinese House every summer and winter holiday.

In 2009, the school introduced TCFL training program through cooperating with National Language Resource Application Center. It is the only TCFL test site and training base authorized by the Language Center in Ningbo for the time being. TCFL traning course has been started at weekends .The mandarin teachers will be send to other countries to teach mandarin .
