Place Master of International Economy and Business
Program Overview

Object:
The Master of International Economy and Business Program at Nankai University is designed to prepare students to be economic analysts in the field of international economic research and specialists of international business activities in the private or public sector.

Program Requirement:
★The Master program can be completed in two year.
★ Each Student in this program must complete 35 credits of course work (15 credits of compulsory courses, 20 credits of elective courses) and a thesis. Students spend two or three semesters taking required courses. The last semester, the student writes an exit paper. While writing the exit paper, the student works closely with a professor who guides the project, helping the student gain in-depth knowledge about the chosen subject and experience in carrying out a research project. From time to time, these exit paper develop into published articles.
★Students who complete a thesis and all required course credits with grades above 60 on a 100 scale will be awarded a Master’s Degree in International Economy and Business. Students who finish only part of required coursework may be issued a courses certificate.
★The Language of instruction is English

School of Economics
School of Economics was founded in 1931. It has 5 departments and 8 research institutes and centers which have  subjects on Economics, Finance, Economy and Trade, Fiscal Science, Risk Management and Insurance Currently, school has 200 full-time faculties and staffs, among 156 teachers, there are 51 Professors, 75 Associate Professors and 30 Lectures. All faculties have overseas experience in studying, teaching or researching. They are dedicated to excellent classroom teaching. Class sizes in the Master’s degree program are typically small—between eight and fifteen students—enabling the instructor to get to know each student, facilitating questions and class discussion, and promoting the extensive use of out- of-class assignments, which provide students with needed experience in working problems and writing papers. Department of Economy and Trade is the only academic unit which has two national key disciplines (Word Economy, International Trade) among all Chinese Universities. Courses in International Economics and International Trade Practice are state-accredited excellent classes.

Admission

Requirements

Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in good health and over the age of 18.
Applicants must have bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university either majoring in business, economics or in other majors with strong fundamental knowledge of economics.

1.   Nankai Application Form.
2.     Highest diploma (notarized photocopy).
3.     Official or notarized copy of transcripts.
4.     A study or research plan (no less than 800 words).
5.     Two letters of recommendation by academic advisors or instructors.
6.   Applicants whose native language is not English must submit TOEFL 80 score or IELTS 5.5.
7.   A Copy of  passport
8.   Application Fee : CNY 500.00
Note: Please submit one original and one photocopy for all required documents. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.
