Chinese Language Speciality & Short-term Chinese Language Training:

Teaching Staff

ELU has ten-year Chinese language teaching experience. 20 teachers, among whom are 10 professors and associate professors, are experienced in teaching Chinese language, history and literature to the foreign students. They all have been issued qualified certificates by the state authorities to teach foreign students.

Length of Schooling:

Length of schooling of Chinese Language Specialty: 4 years.
Students will be awarded Bachelor’s degree after finishing all the courses in the curriculum and getting required credits within 3 or 4 years.
Length of Schooling of Language Training:
Short-term:1-5 months
Long-term:1 year or more

The Overseas Students’ Dormitory is equipped with classrooms, public dining-room, self-help kitchen, laundry, fitting centre, public bath-room, internet room, language lab and video room. Prices and ways of payment:

Tuition and fees of lodgings are paid by terms in Chinese currency. The above price lists are formulated in accordance with the policy of the Chinese Ministry of Education.In case of changes of policy and situation, adjustment of price may be needed.

Management of Foreign Students

Strict rules and regulations as foreign student management are formulated by ELU. Special staff are assigned there to offer services to the students, in hope of helping them to live well and to learn more.
ELU organizes foreign students to take part in some social activities and to go sightseeing in the nearby beauty spots, in order to enliven their daily life.

Timing of Admission

Four-year Students (Formal Education) : At the beginning of March and September
Training Class Students (Informal Education): Join in class any time. New class is opened for a group no less than 10 persons.

How to Apply and Register

1. Applicants may copy “Application Form of Foreign Student to Eastern Liaoning University” from “General Rules of Foreign Students Recruitment of Eastern Liaoning University” or may ask for a form by fax, telephone, email or other corresponding means from the Foreign Affairs Office（International Relations Centre）of Eastern Liaoning University.
2. “The Application Form of Foreign Student to Eastern Liaoning University” should be sent to ELU 1 month prior to admission.
3. ELU sends the applicant the Form of JW202 as well as our “Matriculation Notice”.
4. Applicants, together with “Matriculation Notice”, Form of JW202 and passport, go to the Chinese Embassy in his/her country for a student visa.
5. Students admitted are required to register on time. Those who don’t register are regarded as giving up matriculation qualifications automatically. In case one isn’t able to register timely for some reason, please contact ELU for a postponing.
