I. A General Introduction to Jiamusi University

III．Tuition for Foreign Students in China

1.Tuition Rates

Notes:（1） Academic year is Mar 1st – Jul 1st, Sep 1st – Dec 31st, 8 months altogether.
　　　（2）For the students from foreign universities that have cooperated andexchanged with JU, the tuition will be specially discounted at 10%-15%.

2. Conditions and Rates for School Housing
JU provides foreign students with apartments with complete facilities. The apartments are equipped with telephones, color TV sets, internet access, refrigerators, desks, wardrobes and bathrooms.

Rates for School Housing：
Room for one bed：CN￥ 40～120 per day per room
Room for two beds：CN￥30～50 per day per student
Room for three beds：CN￥ 10～40 per day per student

3. Conditions of Dining and Estimated cost
JU has Chinese, South Korean and Muslim Western restaurants. The apartments are equipped with public kitchens. Foreign students can have dinner at apartment restaurants or for students’ dining halls. The cost is about CN￥ 10～50 per day per person. Foreign students can cook dinner themselves.

4. Other Facilities and living conditions
JU is located by the side of the enchanting Songhua River, where along which are beautiful sceneries, and for each season are evident feature of a warm winter and cool summer, The traffic through the highways, railways and airways (to Beijing, Dalian, Harbin, etc.) is convenient. JU has an elegant environment with five districts and a high-tech district. On the campus there are complete facilities for physical training, with gymnasiums for playing basketball, volleyball and pingpong, and another gymnasium with a swimming pool and a racket count. The apartments for foreign students, which are equipped with a public washhouse, grocery stores, bars, gymnasiums, etc., are perfect spaces for their study, living and social interaction.

IV. Qualification and procedures of Application

1. Qualification for Enrollment:
Anyone from ages is to 60, who has an official health certificate, would obey the laws of the People’s Republic of China and the regulations of JiamusiUniversity, and pays all the fees is qualified to enroll in the programs.
Admission Time: Application for the Bachelor’s Degree program is in June and December every year: for the Short-Term training program, anytime.
Term: From March 1st to June 30th, from September 1st to December 31st.

Jiamusi University (JU) is located in the center of the beautiful and rich Sanjiang Plain and in the famous northerneastern city of Jiamusi. Founded in 1947, it has now become a key comprehensive university under the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province. It is larger in scale with complete subjects and is more formidable with integrated strength. JU has an area of 1.5 million square meters and its buildings have a floor space of 0.95 million square meters. JU has a total of 25 colleges with 75 specialties offering bachelor’s or associate degrees, and 34 academic disciplines authorized to grant master’s degrees.
In 2006, Jiamusi University was awarded by Chinese Ministry of Education as the appointed university who has the right to execute the Chinese Government Scholarships. In 2008, the Chinese scholarships Council of Educational Ministry has given us some seats of recruiting scholarship students independently which provides full Scholarships and living support to the excellent students willing to study in China.

1. The target of the scholarship:
It is supplied to the students who apply to study master degree in Jiamusi University.

2. The time limit of scholarship:
Study Chinese at first for one or two years, and study major for 3 academic years.

5. The content of scholarship

1. The Chinese government scholarships include the fees of registration、tuition、lodging、experiment、practice and basic teaching materials.
2. Offering the scholarship students with the living expenses which are 1700 RMB per month for postgraduate students and settlement allowance 1500 RMB onetime.
3. Offering the transportation fees from the port city where the students enter in China to Jiamusi city when they come and the fees from Jiamusi city to the port city where the students leave China when they leave.
4. Offering public medical service equaled with Chinese students.
