Jinhua College of Profession and Technology (JCPT) crowned by Pioneer Unit of National Vocational Education, a public-owned university, is located in the historical and cultural famous city of Jinhua of Zhejiang Province, covering an area of 3,020 mu(=201.5 hectares). It is a comprehensive and full-time college that involves multi-disciplines: industry, agriculture, medicine, economy, management, teacher-
training as well as arts.
JCPT comprises 12 schools and an intensive affiliated hospital now. They are: Information and Engineering School, Mechanical &Electrical Engineering School, Architectural Engineering School, Economy and Management School, Biological Engineering School, Medical School, Tourism and Hotel Management School, Art and Design School, Chemical Engineering, and Pharmacy School, Adult Education School , International Business School (International Education School) and Jinhua People’s Hospital. Some of these colleges even have more than 100- year history.
JCPT offers 74 specialties which tops other vocational colleges in Zhejiang Province. Some of the specialties, such as Nursing and Applied Electron, are the top National ones as the pilot specialties of higher vocational education approved by the Education Ministry. The Chinese language teaching program has a long history of more than 100 years while the International Trade specialty, practical and pertinent, was brought out, based on the Yiwu International Commodity Market, next to Jinhua downtown, only 30 minutes away by express bus, and Yongkang Hardware Products Trading Market, the biggest one in China. We currently have over 18，000 full-time students and over 15,000 part-time students.
JCPT employs over 1,200 staff, including dozens of professors as well as more than 70% “dual-skilled” professional teachers. In addition, there are 28 comprehensive labs, 34 research centers and more than 300 practice bases. The university library possesses over 120 million volumes of books and over 2,000 categories domestic and overseas periodicals.

Employers tell us our graduates are easily assigned, are easily trained on-the-job, and become excellent members of staff. Therefore, we received an “A+” for each of the 15 education indexes examined, and were granted the title of “fine college” in the nationwide evaluation of vocational and technical colleges in 2005, and our college gratefully accepted selection by the Ministry of Education as a national model vocational college in 2007.
Active in the international exchange and cooperation, JCPT has unfolded diversified international cooperation and program intercourse such as the international nursing program cooperated with Australian Edith Cowan University, the exchange visit program for teachers and students cooperated with Ukrainian National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture and with Finland Kouvola University of Profession, and also the acquirement of master degree program with France and Czech Republic.We has established a training base in Jinhua providing overseas study service, which belongs to the Dongfang International Center for Educational Exchange of China Scholarship Council (CSC). The College is also qualified to introduce foreign teachers and foreign students, and boasts excellent teaching staff with professional proficiency.

Jinhua City

Jinhua City is located in the middle of Zhejiang Province with a developed economy and convenient transportation. The city covers an area of 10,900 square kilometers with a population of 4.47 million.
In the development of Chinese culture, Jinhua City has a very important position, it has been established as city for more than 1700 years, and it is one of the famous historical and cultural cities in China. Many important and famous statesmen, medical experts, militarists, scientists, poets and historians were born in Jinhua. For example, the two famous beauties in Chinese history called “Da Qiao” and “Xiao Qiao” were both born in Jinhua. Jinhua is also called “Hometown of Fruits”, so the city tops the average owned fruit quantity in China.
Jinhua City is beautiful and has a picturesque scenery, a lot of famous scenic spots and historic sites. It is also called “Hometown of Flowers” and “National Tourism and Cultural City”. There are many domestic and abroad famous scenic spots, such as northern suburb located Double Dragon national scenic spot, “Underground Long River” in Lanxi and Yongkang Fangyan Rock scenic spot. The annual holding international camellia conference is especially attractive. During that time thousands of visitors and international guests will be there and the influence has been throughout the world. It is only 2-3 hours away by car from Jinhua to Shanghai, Hangzhou and some national scenic spots like Huang Shan and Thousands Islands.
With the latest economic market development in China, the Small Commodities Market in Yiwu, Jinhua City and the Chinese Hardware Market in Yongkang, Jinhua City are all world-famous. Yongkang has been domestic famous as “Hometown of Hardware” in Chinese history for a long time, and now it has established the biggest hardware products trading market in China and has a high reputation both at home and abroad markets. While Yiwu Chinese Small Commodities Market covers an area of over 1 million square meters and has more than 40,000 stalls, there are more than 320,000 kinds of commodities, which belong to the 1,502 categories in 34 industries. The daily throughput goods will amount to nearly 1 million tons. It is the biggest small commodities circulating and exhibition center in China. Therefore, Yiwu is called “the gateway for Asian trading”. Currently, the arts, ornaments, toys, hardware, the knitting clothes and so on in the market are continuously sale into the South-east Asian countries. At the same time it is very popular in European and American countries. There are nearly 100,000 businessmen from more than 180 countries and regions to Yiwu for goods stocking. Yiwu Small Commodities Market plans to build the biggest worldwide supermarket and international shopping center, in the initial stages it will establish its position of international small commodities circulating center, producing center and research & exploit center.
Furthermore, Jinhua City is developed in the fields of restaurants management, tourism, culture and education, public health service and sanitation as well as the press and publication business.
It is very mild and with a definite four-season division, the annual average temperature will be about 17.3 centigrade degree.

This specialty is focusing on the cultivation of practical qualified professional talents with certain Chinese basic knowledge.

This specialty is especially focusing on the cultivation of advanced practical talents with good English and familiar with international trade knowledge and practice skills and capability of modern management, marketing, finance, logistics and electronic business. They should be qualified for the certificates of advanced Export Business Rep., international business vouching clerk, merchandiser, Customs Specialist, and CIQ declarer and they can adapt the knowledge of English and international trade to practice in foreign trade.

Logistics Management
This specialty is especially focusing on the cultivation of advanced practical talents with the basic knowledge and theory of modern logistics, who have strong practical ability and basic technique in logistics management. They can be employed in third part logistics enterprises, industry and commerce enterprises and foreign trade enterprises.

Clinical Medicine
It has a history of more than 40 years, first one that is approved by Ministry of Education and Health Department in higher vocational colleges. During the estimation of talents cultivation in national higher vocational colleges in 2005, the Clinical Medicine was referred as main course to be analyzed and obtains concerned expert's consistent favorable comment. The choiceness rate of students’ performance is more than 90%. It has, with abundant teaching resources, more than 30 vice professors and professors and more than 30 staff with master's degree. It aims at cultivating the practical and technical training of higher medical specialists with general practice and clinic skills for the community. This specialty is key demonstrative one in nation-level model vocational colleges, nation-level trial major of teaching reform, and provincial level discipline.

Procedures of Application for Study in Jinhua College of Profession and Technology for International Students

1. Applicants can ask Foreign Affairs Office or International Education School for the Application for Admission to Jinhua College of Profession and Technology through fax, telephone, letters or email. [DOWNLOAD]
   
2. Applicants should send the filled application together with photocopy of the passport, registration fee (transfer to our college’s account) to Jinhua College of Profession and Technology.
   
3. Foreign Affair Office will send the Admission Notice and the Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) to the applicants within 2-4 weeks after receiving the application.
   
4. Applicants who have been enrolled should apply for the student visa (X visa) to Chinese Embassy with the Admission Notice and Visa Application for Study in China (JW202). If the time is limited, they can apply for the Tourist Visa (L visa) to Chinese Embassy. After they come to college, Foreign Affairs Office will take them to change it into student visa.
   
5. Applicants who have been enrolled should register before the time limit at the appointed place in the Admission Notice. If they can’t come on time, they should apply to the Foreign Affairs Office or International Education School, or they will be deprived of the right to enter.
