Study in Huiwen

Established in the year 1871, Beijing Huiwen Middle School (BHMS), which has a legendary history of over one hundred and thirty years, is one of the public key schools in China and have been the first batch of public key schools in China since 2002. About 2000 students study in Huiwen, 90% of the graduates can be admitted by prestigious universities
We were designated as the first club of the UNESCO in China in 1984. BHMS found the International Department in 1994 and became one of the first schools that have the qualification of recruiting students. So far, nearly 4000 students have finished their studies in BHMS. All the senior students here have been admitted by prestigious universities. The number of students admitted by prestigious universities in China, such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Renmin University, etc always ranks first. Being the International Department was also evaluated as “the Advanced School in Beijing for the Management of Students Abroad” for several times. Because of our excellent Chinese teaching achievements, we became the “Base of International Promotion of Chinese in Primary and Middle School” of NOTCFL in 2007.

In 2007, our school became “Base of International Promotion of Chinese in Primary and Middle School” of NOTCFL. Graduates from Huiwen did an outstanding job in the university entrance examinations. 100% of them can enter key universities in China, and nearly 20 students can be admitted by Beijing University and Tsinghua Universities each year.   Excellent teachers are the key to student learning. The full-time teachers in Huiwen International Department are all graduated from the first-class Normal University, with professional teaching qualification. They are passionate about teaching and always try to mobilize the enthusiasm of the students to make the classroom a challenging and fun place. They are filled with enthusiasm for the students and actively undertake the important task of guiding students to grow, but also will tolerate the mischievous children, and shared their life stories.
  
• A comfortable campus life
  Huiwen’s campus is as beautiful as a garden，which has a stadium with a swimming pool, a badminton hall and a gymnasium hall. It can provide students with a facilitate activity place. The dormitory building has central air conditioning, and each standard suite (has a bathroom) is shared by 2 students. The daily life and learning of students will be supervised by dormitory managing teachers. There are two cafeterias providing services to overseas student.
  
• Effective classroom teaching
  Huiwen International Department implement small class teaching (class size: generally 15 people) which ensure enough care and guidance for the students. Also, teachers often talk to students individually and offer guidance to help students to solve the difficulties in noon self-study hour.

  Huiwen provides foreign students with a variety of campus cultural events, student club activities, sports activities, cultural research, New Year's party, all kinds of public activities, cultural festivals, recreational classes with Chinese students, outward training, etc., which enable students all-round development and offer students the alternative development opportunities.
• The strict school management
  Huiwen always takes the responsibility of fostering outstanding students, develops a strict system, and carefully choose the staffs to ensure that students under strict management. Teachers will record students’ daily attendance and students learning situation. Each class is equipped with a headmaster who is responsible for students’ attendance, classroom management, psychological counseling and so on. International Department has dedicated staff that is responsible for liaising with parents and feedback from students in a timely manner.
