Introduction

Gannan Normal University (GNU), founded in 1958, is a well-known comprehensive normal university in Jiangxi province. Since its foundation, the university has brought up more than 60,000 students.

GNU is located at the south of Jiangxi province----Ganzhou, where the largest residence of Hakka people is.In GNU with 134 acres in size, there are 13 schools and over 25,000 students. GNU has staff of over 1,100.

GNU consists of 8 systematic disciplines with 52 learning branches, including Law, Economics, the Study of History, the Human Arts, Science, Engineering, Education and Management.

Approved by State Ministry of Education, GNU becomes one of the schools which have the qualification to enroll foreign students. Moreover, GNU has good teaching equipments, high quality and responsible faculty, beautiful campus and perfect living conditions. Chinese Language & Literature, Chinese as Second Language Teaching and Research, Chinese Traditional Culture Teaching and Research and Hakka Study Teaching and Research are influential in Jiangxi province and even in China.

Living condition

There are library, super market, small stores, canteen room, some few independent dining rooms,post office, bank, a standard playground a, basketball ground, football ground, and swimming pool, etc. in the campus. We provide the foreign students flats with phone,TV, refrigeratory, washing machine, air-conditioning, water heater, cooker, Internet, desk, bed, etc.

Application Procedures

Fill in the admission application form of Gannan Normal University. (submit the form by post, fax or email)

We will send you the matriculation certificate of Gannan Normal University, the visa application form (JW202 form).

Please take these documents with you and go to the Chinese embassy in your country in time and apply for an X visa (study period is more than 180 days) or F visa (study period is within 180 days).

Applicants should be in school and register before the deadline of registration which is shown in the matriculation certificate. The International Education & Cultural Exchange Center will help you go through the formalities.

Registration Deadline and Required Documents:

Undergraduate registration is closed on 15th August and the semester starts at the beginning of September of every year.
Long-term or short-term refresher students can register at any time and the semester starts at the end of February and beginning of September of every year.
Required documents: The admission application form of Gannan Normal University, the matriculation certificate of Gannan Normal University, the visa application form (JW202 form), the Foreigner Physical Examination Report (in China), passport, secondary school diploma, school report card.
