On June 8, 2012, Confucius Institute at University of Khartoum (CIUOFK) held a Chinese language course opening ceremony for the students at Ministry of Finance in Sudan. The deputy minister, 20 officers, directors at CIUOFK and some teachers attended the ceremony.

Ministry of Finance gave great support to the first term of Chinese language course. A special classroom with laptop and projector was set for the course. CIUOFK made careful teaching plans and devoted textbooks to the students.

At the ceremony the deputy minister presented sincere gratitude to CIUOFK, and encouraged the 20 officers to study Chinese language hard to reach a high proficiency level. The directors at CIUOFK introduced the course plan and hoped the learners could know China and Chinese culture better by learning Chinese language.

At present, CIUOFK has established 4 teaching branches which open Chinese course for the public. More and more government officers are registering the Chinese courses at CIUOFK.
