2010-4-26 11:58:00 From: cri.cn

Relevant academic credentials and a fairly high level of Chinese are usually necessary for foreign students to study in universities. Many institutions require students to take entrance examinations. Foreign students can contact Chinese universities through the internet and apply online to study in China. Currently, more than 300 Chinese post-secondary institutions can accommodate foreign students.

Tuition fees for Chinese universities are very low, but they vary by school and specialty. They generally range around 2,000 thousand RMB per year.

China is working hard to raise the international profile of its educational system and the Chinese consider it very important to attract foreign students. To help accomplish this, China continues to improve the studying environment for foreign students.
