Scholarships

International students of China Agriculture University may apply for financial support of Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS), Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS), or China Agriculture University Graduate Student Scholarships. The scholarships are categorized into full scholarships and partial scholarships. Partial scholarships cover full tuition or partial tuition.
The students who are granted one of the above scholarships are requested to participate in annual review organized by China Agriculture University. Those passing the annual review are eligible for next-year scholarship support.

Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS)

The Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) scheme was established by the Ministry of Education of China (hereinafter referred to as MOE) in accordance with educational exchange agreements or understandings reached between Chinese government and foreign governments, educational organizations, institutions and relevant international organizations to provide full scholarship and partial scholarship to international students and scholars. China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC) administers the recruitment of international students and routine management of the Chinese Government Scholarship scheme.
Foreign students who are applying for admission to China Agriculture University may apply for CGS support. The scholarship applications should be directed to the governmental departments of overseas study affairs, the related organizations, or Chinese embassies, in their home countries. The application time is from January to April each year.
Foreign students who are pursuing Master’s or Doctoral degree at China Agriculture University or those who have been approved to continue their study at China Agriculture University for a higher degree may apply to CSC for The Distinguished International Students Scholarship. The scholarship application shall be submitted via Office of International University, China Agriculture University to CSC in May each year.

Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS)

The Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS) was established by Beijing Municipal Government, aiming to attract and encourage excellent foreign students to study in Beijing. The BGS scholarship covers the tuition fees of foreign students, fully or partially. The Office of International Relations, China Agriculture University is authorized by Beijing Municipal Government to be responsible for the acceptance, review, and approval of the scholarship applications, as well as the annual review of the scholarship, for foreign students studying at or applying for admission to China Agriculture University.
The application for BGS support shall be submitted to China Agriculture University. Once recommended, the students would be requested to fill out formal application form for BGS.
i. Foreign students who are applying for admission to undergraduate and graduate programs of China Agriculture University in autumn 2010 shall complete the Application Form for China Agriculture University Scholarship (for future students), and submit together with the admission application materials to Office of International University, China Agriculture University. The applicants of Master’s programs in English may submit the application materials to relevant department/school of China Agriculture University.
ii. Foreign students who are studying in undergraduate or graduate programs of China Agriculture University shall complete the  Application Form for Beijing Government Scholarship(for current students), and submit together with supplementary materials such as transcripts, certificates of awards, letters of recommendation, and publications to Office of International University on June 1- 15, 2010.
iii. Foreign students who have been granted BGS support in academic year 2008-2009 are requested to complete the Scholarship Annual Review Form, and submit together with supplementary materials such as transcripts, certificates of awards, letters of recommendation, and publications to Office of International University on June 1- 15, 2010.

Graduate Student Scholarships for International Students

(Supported by Chinese Government Scholarship Program)
The Graduate Student Scholarships, supported by the Chinese Scholarship Council(CSC), are provided for prospective international students to study for Master or Doctoral Degrees in top universities in China thus to expand student exchanges and academic collaborations between Chinese Universities and their overseas partnership institutions. 
China Agricultural University (CAU) is among the list of the top universities supported by CSC to directly recruit the scholarship students.
Foreign students who are applying for admission to Graduate programs of China Agriculture University in autumn 2010 shall complete the APPLICATION FORM FOR CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP, and submit together with the admission application materials to Office of International Relations, China Agriculture University.
