Natural Resources in Jiangxi

There are numerous streams and lakes in the province. Therefore, Jiangxi is called a rich land of fish and rice. In all its crops, rice ranks first. Besides, it teems with oil bearing crops, tea, mandarin orange and sugar-crane. Camellia oil and grains are exported to other regions of the country and foreign countries.

Famous-brand black tea, green tea (including Ninghong, Wulu, Lushan Yunwu and Gougunao), the white lotus seed of Guangchang and the sweet mandarin of Nanfeng are especially well-known at home and abroad. The Poyang Lake, the biggest freshwater lake in China, located in the east of the province, is a huge natural fish reservoir. In addition, it is very rich in mineral resources. Its tungsten deposit is very famous in the world. The deposit of gold, silver, copper, uranium and 6 other minerals ranks first in the country. The ceramics of Jingdezhen, one of the famous national historic cities, is well-known in the world. The pottery and porcelain products have been selling the best across the five continents.
